Bright aromas of dark cherry, raspberry, blackberry, currants, and boysenberry preserve with a slight hint of nutmeg greet you in the glass. Velvety entry with sweet oak envelops the richly layered fruit.
Layered black fruits you expect from a high elevation Merlot like blackberries and cherries with dark chocolate, but laced with the usual Schweiger Merlot notes of pomegranate, blueberry, and boysenberry.
Our 11th vintage as its own varietal. A lighter expression of our Mountain terroir not only in its color but a more delicate berry note along with spicy plum, cocoa, cherry, and faint notes of Herbs de Provence.
